Time Strategies

Hello! In this post, I will be talking 'Time Management', how it's done and how it changes the way we work and the quality of our work. It is common knowledge that leaving something last minute makes it all rushed, messy and then it doesn't reach its full potential. One article I read, was called '3 Steps to Recapture Time' by  Joynicole Martinez. ( https://sheownsit.com/3-steps-recapture-time-joynicolem/ )  The advice she gives is really helpful and I will definitely be using these in my day to day projects, as I am one of the most easily distracted people ever. I always find myself losing focus and losing motivation because of it. But her three steps are as follows: 1. Refuse to Yield First 15 Minutes - she states the first 15 minutes of every day should be taken to meditate/relax and define critical tasks for the day then chunk them, and break them down into smaller steps. 2. Recognize the Pruning Season -  a segment of days or weeks dedicated to id

New Technology

By 'New Technology', I don't mean cars that can fly, I will be discussing the technology that I will be learning about that is new to me. Pretty much all of the technology will be new to me other than Bookmarks, Pinterest, Mac Preview and Canva. The programs and tools that we will be learning seem to be very interesting and intriguing. It will be a challenge, but I have to keep a growth mindset! Motivational Message. https://www.pinterest.ie/pin/467107792601055749/

Assignments

Well, more serious talk: Assignments! I am actually looking forward to a lot of these assignments, and I love the idea of extra credit. Giving us a bit of leeway and choosing the specific parts which we are more interested to study, is quite motivating. It makes you excited to learn more. I am really excited about developing a game and learning about unity, it is very intriguing. Also, commenting on each other's blogs is something to look forward to as it will make it feel a little bit more real and can give us an idea of what people like to read, and what they don't. As for the extra credit assignments, the tech-based category interests me the most, as I am always eager to learn more web and tech skills, especially when it can benefit my overall skillset which I can then apply to other modules and projects. A motivational message before beginning with unity. https://www.pinterest.ie/pin/645703665306684691/ BLC Blogging

Growth Mindset

An interesting topic of discussion today indeed. Mindset, and the power of our thoughts. Our thoughts combined with our attitude are the key elements to successful growth. How are we supposed to grow without being challenged? How are we supposed to grow if we repeat the same tasks over and over again? Pushing boundaries is what gets you by boundaries, not by standing around waiting. Your brain is a muscle. If you think about the muscles on the rest of your body, they need to be pushed over limits in order to grow. This is the kind of stuff that Carol Dweck speaks about "Make Challenge The New Comfort Zone". It's very inspiring and motivating. When you think of it, there is absolutely no other feeling like completing something challenging, and if it comes to completion that's amazing growth happening instantly and if not, it's the resilience to try again which will make you grow even more. It's all about the will power. Personally, I don't always all

Introduction to a Future Web Developer.

Hey! This post is a little bit less of the 'fun talk' than discussing my favorite game, but it will still be very interesting. I will be discussing ME! Nothing too personal, I will be focusing on the professional side of my everyday life. At the moment, college takes up most of my time, as you would expect. I am currently in my second year of study in Creative Digital Media and so far, I'm loving it! We aren't really too long into Second Year for me to give a fully-fledged opinion on it, but I can definitely share my thoughts from First Year.  First Year was hands-down the quickest year of my life. It is crazy how different your life feels when starting in a completely different environment, especially after coming straight from secondary school, like I did. When you're finally studying and working on something that you want to be doing, you have fun and time really does fly. I definitely know that I'm in the right course. My favorite thing about

Favourite Game

Hello! In this post, I will be talking about one of my favourite games: ' Minecraft'. Minecraft was very popular when I began to play it. Although I'm not one to play games at all (in fact, I don't even own a console) I found this one particularly fun and different. Minecraf t is simple, creative, educational and an amazing way to stretch your imagination and creativity further. An example of the design of a world in Minecraft.                       "7-31-14"   by  ephesossh  is licensed under  CC BY-NC-SA 2.0  I personally began on the mobile app, then continued to a PS3 that I used to own, and then on to a PC. The game is basically all about blocks. Everything in the game is created out of blocks. It sounds so very simple, but the designs in this game are unquestionably outstanding. Also, the architecture in which you're able to create will BLOW YOUR MIND!                                         A ship on the water created in
